Pi question for today

For those of you that missed the question in class:

Find another famous mathematician, other than Einstein, that has their birthday on Mar. 14th??

I don't know if this counts, but there was an ancient greek mathematician by the name of Pappus of Alexandria who had the good fortune to live through the Pi year: 314. ;-) He thought that bees were pretty clever. Look him up to find out why....just my two cents, for what they're worth. ;-)

There was another famous mathematician who also lived at that time but I forget his name. I don't think he was as impressed with the bees as Pappus was though.
